Internet Explorer 8, 9 & 10 Reach End of Life
As of this week, Microsoft will no longer provide mainstream support for Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10 meaning those using these versions will be vulnerable as they will receive no technical support or security updates.
Microsoft is effectively trying to force users to upgrade to Internet Explorer 11, the final version of IE browser that’s still supported. Microsoft like to encourage users to use the most up to date software which contain the highest levels of security and support and are also trying to transition users to Microsoft Edge which is currently only available on Windows 10.
What Should You Do?
To protect yourself from security threats and possibly hacks you should upgrade to Internet Explorer 11, for more information and how to do this click here. If you’re worried about upgrading to Internet Explorer, don’t be; it looks just like the previous versions but runs a lot faster and is more compatible with the latest web standards.
